Refusing Reasonings and Dominating Deceptions

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. (1 Corinthians 14:33, KJV)

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22, KJV)

Eve, the mother of all generations has demonstrated what we should not do concerning compromising the things of God. We as believers of Jesus Christ today should not compromise the things of God. God ordained it so that man (Adam) would have authority over the serpent. He gave authority and dominion to Adam over His creation. Eve as the helper and lesser of the two even though they were one was targeted by the serpent to be deceived. The things of God were handed down to Eve from what God had given Adam.
We as the Body of Christ and the Bride of Christ should take advantage of what God has given us for our spiritual and eternal benefit for the good.

The Power of Purity: Doing God’s Will

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:21-23, KJV)

The power of purity comes from within and not from works. It comes from our character and from where our heart resides. We must keep our hearts and motives in check when doing God’s will. Pride and covetousness (lust, lucre, or greed) are some of the things that has a potential of deceiving our hearts to cause us to think we are justified in doing what is contrary to God’s will. Eve’s desire to be more like God in knowing good and evil and to be wise was a temptation to become greater. She was deceived by the suggestions of the serpent to consider a better way than of what God has spoken and commanded. The Word of God calls us the bride of Christ from a spiritual perspective. Therefore, we should not allow our hearts to be deceived by the devil, our carnality, or the world as Eve was deceived, but to holdfast to that which is good so that we will receive the promises of God and eternal security.
