Put God First

Luke 22:42

Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Father God is the source of all things. Father God created Jesus to be His only begetton Son. By the will of the one and only holy God the Father God created all everything including Holy Spirit for His glory. God is love and faithful to His creation. Jesus is our example of how to obey, submit, and live for Father God.

Have A Higher Desire For The Lord

John 15:4-12 (KJV)Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Jesus has clearly spoken that we should have a higher desire for the love of God and to abide in Him. The same way that God has been faithful unto us, we should be faithful unto Him. Therefore, let us be faithful unto God and to one another as the body of Jesus Christ.

Hate Confusion And Embrace Peace

1 Corinthians 14:33(KJV)For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Among us as believers must take heed to be in control of denying ourselves when confusion arises. The scriptures in James 3:16-18 (KJV) says, “For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.” Those that make peace are wise and are justified in God’s eyes. Let us consider our ways and make peace with one another. Jesus spoke these words to His disciples…John 13:34-35 (KJV) “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

One God & One Standard

Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:3-6, KJV

Best Friend

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”(John 15:12-15, KJV)

Jesus speaks to His disciples concerning being friends and not just being lord and servant. Obedience plays a major part of being friends with Jesus whom Father God have created to be Lord and God over all things as His only begotten Son. After Adam and Eve have fallen into sin, mankind is now born in sin nature, but God has adopted us through His Son Jesus by way of faith and obedience. When we are friends with Jesus by way of faith and obedience, we have the benefits of knowing Father God and the things of Father God.

Jesus said these words in John 14:9,10,“Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.” (Jonh 14:9,10 KJV) Let us believe and obey so that God and Jesus will be our best friend forever.

Bearing One’s Burdens (B.O.B)

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. (Galatians 6:1-10, KJV)

Let us, the household of faith, bear one another’s burdens in fulfilling the law of Christ in loving one another as His disciples so that the world will know who we are in Jesus Christ.

The scriptures in Galatians chapter 6 verses 1 through 10 makes it clear that we should bear one another’s burdens as well as our own burdens to fulfill the law of Christ in loving one another to show others that we are true disciples of Jesus Christ. Our love for one another bears witness of all truths to all peoples and nations throughout all generations.
