Let Go And Let God

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. (Jeremiah 17:9, KJV)

As believers, it is imperative that we pay attention to ourselves and learn from God what things we should deny ourselves of such as the pride of life, the lust of the eyes, and the lust of the flesh. Our emotions play a big part in our lives, but we must present ourselves before God on a daily basis which includes our emotions and how we feel about the things that we should let go of and forget. Just knowing the Word of God is not enough to help us to forget and let things go, but applying the Word of God to our hearts it what makes the difference in our walk with The Lord.

When trails and tests come our way we must put our trust and faith in God that He will bring us through and out like pure gold because our faith is in Him and not in ourselves. Let go of the things that are holding you down and put aside every weight so that we may not let the devil have his way. Our faith will be tried, but continue to press toward that prize and high calling of God that will bring us out and make us free.

The Meaning of Water and Fire

“There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” (St. John 3:1-7, KJV)

Jesus said “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”, and it astonished Nicodemus. Nicodemus was determined and sincere in his heart for understanding. As John the Baptist prepared the way for the coming of Jesus the Messiah, he preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. “John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.” (Mark 1:4, KJV) Jesus came to baptist us with fire and the Holy Spirit. “John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.” (Luke 3:16-17, KJV)

Jesus laid His life down for us as a sacrifice of His blood and water for the remission of our sins. “But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.” (John 19:34-35, KJV) Before the Lamb (Jesus The Messiah) was slain and before the foundation of the world was made, Father God had created and spoken to His begotten only Son and ordain Him as God and Creator over all things.

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” (Hebrews 1:1-14, KJV)

One God & One Standard

Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:3-6, KJV

Be Ready Already

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. (Matthew 25:1-13, KJV)

The ten virgins is a metaphor of the Body of Jesus Christ. The bridegroom represent Jesus Christ the Son of God. We as followers of Jesus are His bride to be one with Him as well as with God the Father for eternity. The five wise virgins went into the marriage, but the five foolish virgins were left out. The five foolish virgins was not allowed to come in because they did not supply themselves with what was needed in order to meet the bridegroom when the call was made that the bridegroom is coming and to go meet him. It is wise for us as believers to prepare ourselves for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Sometimes we get carried away with the things of the world that pulls us away from applying ourselves to the Word, will, and works of God. It is vital for us to apply ourselves to His Word and will. God has provided us Holy Spirit and the fellowship of one another to be lead and guided unto all truths as Holy Spirit keeps us sealed until the day of redemption.

Best Friend

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”(John 15:12-15, KJV)

Jesus speaks to His disciples concerning being friends and not just being lord and servant. Obedience plays a major part of being friends with Jesus whom Father God have created to be Lord and God over all things as His only begotten Son. After Adam and Eve have fallen into sin, mankind is now born in sin nature, but God has adopted us through His Son Jesus by way of faith and obedience. When we are friends with Jesus by way of faith and obedience, we have the benefits of knowing Father God and the things of Father God.

Jesus said these words in John 14:9,10,“Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.” (Jonh 14:9,10 KJV) Let us believe and obey so that God and Jesus will be our best friend forever.

Stretched Out Hands

The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel. And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart, The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars. Therefore the Lord shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together; The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the Lord of hosts. Therefore the Lord will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day. The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail. For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed. Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke. Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother. And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm: Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. (Isaiah 9:8-21, KJV)

The prophetic words of Isaiah from God warned Israel to turn to Him, but they wouldn’t turn to Him. Jesus revealed to John in a vision that He gave Jezebel space to repent of her fornication, but she didn’t repent. Even in God’s anger, He still has mercy. God’s nature is love, therefor He is love. He has emotions, but He is not governed by emotions. He is governed by His love in protecting and preserving those that loves Him. Let us learn a lesson to love and obey God while He is having mercy on us.

Learn To Keep A Secret

The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant (Psalms 25:14, KJV).

For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous (Proverbs 3:32, KJV).

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalms 91:1, KJV)

Those of us that are in a relationship with the Lord should have a sensitivity to the things that God would show or reveal to us by way of His Spirit. Having a real relationship with God is not just going to church or bible study, but it is walking and living in agreement with the things that Holy Spirit would reveal to us in following Jesus. We are not to always reveal everything that God would reveal to us. Some of the secret things between you and God is for you to know Him better and to improve your view of who He is. Before we go out and try to preach or teach we need to make sure that we are not prideful of what we know, but to obey what the Lord would have us to say and do for His glory.
