Philippians 4:7-13,King James Version

(Philippians 4:7 — 13, King James Version)
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Fear For The Future

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.(St.Luke 6:46-49, King James Version)

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.(St.Matthew 10:28-42, King James Version)

And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.(Jude 1:22-25, King James Version)

Press For The Mark

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.(Corinthians 9:24-27, King James Version)

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.(Philippians 3:12-14, King James Version)

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.(Matthew 6:19-21, King James Version)

Let Go And Let God

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. (Jeremiah 17:9, KJV)

As believers, it is imperative that we pay attention to ourselves and learn from God what things we should deny ourselves of such as the pride of life, the lust of the eyes, and the lust of the flesh. Our emotions play a big part in our lives, but we must present ourselves before God on a daily basis which includes our emotions and how we feel about the things that we should let go of and forget. Just knowing the Word of God is not enough to help us to forget and let things go, but applying the Word of God to our hearts it what makes the difference in our walk with The Lord.

When trails and tests come our way we must put our trust and faith in God that He will bring us through and out like pure gold because our faith is in Him and not in ourselves. Let go of the things that are holding you down and put aside every weight so that we may not let the devil have his way. Our faith will be tried, but continue to press toward that prize and high calling of God that will bring us out and make us free.

One God & One Standard

Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:3-6, KJV

Casting Our Cares Upon Him

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1 Peter 5: 5-7, KJV)

As followers of Jesus, we should humble ourselves unto the Lord. As we humble ourselves by way of letting go of unnecessary weights, God will exalt us as we do His will. God cares for us when we put our trust in Him. As the scriptures says in the Word of God, as I rephrase it for understanding, we walk by faith and not by the things we see outwardly. As we take into consideration what the Word of God says, we will see the results of our faith in God. Let us not be distracted by the things of the world, but to concentrate ourselves in the Word of God and to make it applicable to our hearts.

Right Faith vs. Wrong Doctrine

For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. (1 Corinthians 3:9-15, KJV)

Many of us as believers have erred concerning the Truth of the faith that is of God. It is imperative to make sure that we don’t refuse God’s correction and His rebuke in order to receive a reward for the work that we do in His name. The apostles laid down the foundation of the Church base on the doctrine that Jesus taught them. Jesus in His earthly ministry taught them how to laid down the foundation as well as how to build upon it. We will not receive a reward base on our philosophy and opinion, but we will receive a reward for basing our doctrine on the Truth of God. True believers and followers of Jesus Christ will be saved from eternal damnation because we believe in the right faith, but behold on how you build on another man’s foundation that is base on the Truth.
