What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? (James 2:14, KJV)
Abraham was not justified until he obeyed the Lord. The Lord told him to leave his father’s house and Abraham obeyed and left his father’s house. Abraham was also justified in the offering of his son. The angel of the Lord stopped him from sacrificing his son and said you are now made perfect in God because God told you to sacrifice your son. We need to understand that faith alone will not save us. We are responsible for doing God’s will.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 7:21, KJV)
