Joy strengthens our hearts as we are carrying out God’s joy (will) for our lives.
Peace gives us assurance of our hope.
Righteousness identifies who we are in Christ Jesus.
The Kingdom of God consist of these three. (Romans 14:17 KJV). We inherit these three as we are actively involved in the Kingdom of God. If we are seated in heavenly places with Christ, then the external things of life will become less important. External things are important, but it won’t be the focal point of our hearts.
Matthew 6:20, 21 says, But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Examine yourselves, seek God, and find out where your heart is. God knows what we have need of and will supply our need, but our heart might not be in the right place if we have been in a relationship with Christ without internal fulfillment. Christ came to give us life and life more abundantly. When you have found yourself, don’t be afraid to yoke yourself with Christ and let Him give you rest for your soul (Matthew 11: 29, 30).
