Walk by Faith, Not by Sight

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV)

When we walk by faith and not by sight, we are putting our confidence in the Lord. What does it mean to not walk by sight? Not to walk by sight means to live not in expectation nor hope for this life, which we can see every day in this natural world, but living and conducting ourselves in expectation that we have eternal life by Christ Jesus. The scripture says, Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man drawback, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. (Hebrews 10:38 KJV) As we walk in love and keep our focus on Jesus Christ (The Hope of Glory), our faith will be manifested when we see Him.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 KJV) As we are fulfilling God’s will in the earth, He rewards us for our faith. He is faithful, even when we are faithless. Let us take advantage of every opportunity to be faithful unto the Lord.
